Internship
Our intern plays an integral role on the team at EEVC, which their primary focus being patient care. The internship program at EEVC is demanding, involving a heavy caseload both in clinic and in the field. Currently, there will be one intern position available and that intern will work directly with the senior clinicians on all cases. Primary duties will include routine clinical care, intensive care, emergencies, some surgical assistance, ambulatory services, sports medicine evaluation, and client communication. The internship at EEVC provides individuals with a solid foundation and ample opportunity for refinement of skills in a variety of areas. Living accommodations on the clinic grounds are provided. Professional Liability insurance fees, medical insurance package, AVMA/AAEP dues, and one CE conference will be paid by EEVC. Prerequisites of Internship Applications:
DVM or equivalent degree
Resumé or CV
Three letters of recommendation
Externship
The externs work closely assisting clinicians and the intern on clinical and ambulatory cases. Externs will be actively involved with the clinical rounds. Externships are generally scheduled for 2 or 4 week durations. During your stay, you will be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A room, shower and cooking facilities are provided for the extern. Liability insurance is provided by the practice. Extern is responsible for their own medical insurance.
